Requirements
Florida Boats - Please note our Florida insurance programs have been restricted to boats 32 feet or less, can be no more than 20 years old and must include a trailer.
New Survey Requirements
Vessels 10 years old for salt water use or 15 years old for fresh water use must have a survey if they meet any of the following criteria:
• Hulls exceeding 40 feet in length
• Hulls of all ages if either custom built or are not from a recognized manufacturer
• Hulls constructed of materials other than fiberglass, steel or aluminum
• Any commercial use
Acceptable Surveys
• Must be a hauled-out of water survey
• Survey may be no older than 3 years
• Though not required, we encourage that our insureds use either a NAMS or SAMS accredited surveyor.
